Locality: Dachang Mine, Qinglong County, Guizhou Province, China

This attractive mineral specimen combines cubic purple fluorite with delicate sprays of honey-yellow creedite, creating a striking natural contrast in both colour and crystal habit.

Fluorite formed from mineral-rich hydrothermal fluids circulating through fractures within the host rock, crystallising into its characteristic cubic formations. The soft violet colouring is caused by trace impurities and natural irradiation during crystal growth.

Creedite formed later from fluorine-rich hydrothermal solutions, crystallising as slender bladed crystals across the fluorite matrix. Their warm yellow tones provide a beautiful contrast against the cool purple fluorite, highlighting the different stages of mineral formation within the deposit.
