This specimen features tightly formed dogtooth calcite crystals with a darker, more iron-rich composition, giving the piece its deep grey to near-black appearance.

The calcite is heavily influenced by hematite (iron oxide), which creates the darkened tones and matte, textured surface. Scattered throughout are small inclusions of pyrite, adding subtle metallic gold flashes.

Unlike lighter calcite specimens, this piece has a more compact, druzy-style formation, with fine crystal coverage rather than large, open points.
