This specimen features well-defined dogtooth calcite crystals, forming sharp, elongated scalenohedral points.

The surface is naturally coated with hematite (iron oxide), giving the piece its rich red-brown colouring and textured, almost velvety appearance.

At the base and between the formations, areas of high-lustre “diamond calcite” - a trade name for particularly clear or sparkling calcite growth - catch the light beautifully.

Small inclusions of pyrite are scattered throughout, adding subtle metallic contrast.
